Wet Sets are trial and error

I just can't believe how simple wet sets are! You know what I am talking about right? Those foam/sponge rollers your granny always wore to bed? Although they are simple, these little stinkers are deceiving! The sponge will hold in water, keeping the hair damp longer, so they need at minimum overnight to dry! And sometimes it is hard to tell if they are wet, or just simply cold! If you plan to give them a go, do it as early as you can before bed, afternoon would be most ideal, as long as you plan to stay in the rest of the day! Or maybe you are one of those that don't mind going to the grocery store with rollers in, if thats the case, do it whenever! :P I like to use a setting lotion before rolling, since my hair doesnt like to keep curl the setting lotion definitely holds it in. Just be sure to not saturate your hair too damp with the lotion, if you take the rollers out while your hair is damp the curl won't stay! When I first was interested in exploring wet sets, I found an amazing lady who does tutorials on it, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRWbopnJxvI&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PL6DBD8450DFF85577 <This is the first section of the tutorial, be sure to follow up with her brush out video! She really goes into detail and explains everything so well. There are multiple ways of rolling your hair to achieve different looks, so feel free to play around! Be sure not to TWIST the hair when rolling, make it a smooth flat section as you roll. And tuck those ends nicely! The outcome will be crazy if this isn't done. I also use a thin net type bandana when i sleep so my hair doesn't get frizzy, and in the case that a roller comes un-done, it will stay right where it is :)
Here is a quick snap of my first wet set result, not too shabby!

Please feel free to leave comments, I would love to hear your experiences! xoxo Guys and Dolls!
